Management, B.S.
Degree Requirements
The B.S. in Management prepares students for management and leadership positions
in the public and private sectors. In addition to the general degree requirements
for the B.S., students must complete 18 credits in upper-level management courses
with a grade of C or better in each course.
Students are required to take the following:
- MGMT 312 Principles of Management
- MGMT 321 Human Resource Management
- MGMT 323 Teams and Leadership
Beyond these three required courses, students must choose three courses
from the following:
- MGMT 331 Labor Relations
- MGMT 411 Organizational Theory and Development
- MGMT 412 Diversity in Organizations
- MGMT 421 Advanced HR
- MGMT 431 Employee Relations
- MGMT 451 New Venture Creation
- MGMT 471 Competitive Strategy
- MGMT 493 Management of Technology
Students specializing in human resources/personnel should take:
- MGMT 331, MGMT 421, and MGMT 431.
