Pre-Orientation Advising for New Transfer Students
The School of Management Pre-Orientation Advising
Advising is available prior to Orientation for all new School of Management transfer students through Transfer Workshops. All admitted students who specified that they intend to major in the School of Management on their Admission application and submit the Intent to Enroll form to the Office of Admission will be sent an email invitation. Students who wish to be advised prior to Orientation should first submit the Intent to Enroll form to the Office of Admissions, then wait to receive email instructions on how to register for a School of Management Transfer Workshop.
College of Humanities and Social Sciences
Transfer students that have paid their deposits to attend George Mason University with declared majors in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences will be contacted via e-mail by the Dean's Office with instructions on how to obtain pre-orientation academic advising beginning Monday, November 16, and continuing on a rolling basis throughout the summer. Students with any questions or concerns can contact Evan Baum, Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs at ebaum@gmu.edu.
ICAR Undergraduate Program
Transfer students majoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution that have paid their deposits to attend George Mason University may obtain pre-orientation academic advising. Appointments are available between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Please contact the ICAR Undergrad office at ugradcar@gmu.edu to set up an appointment.
New Century College
Newly admitted transfer students majoring in New Century College that have paid their deposits to attend George Mason University may obtain pre-orientation academic advising by calling 703-993-1436.
Newly Admitted Undeclared, no preference students
"Newly admitted Undeclared, no preference, students who have confirmed their offer of admission for the spring semester will be contacted by the Academic Advising Center and invited to schedule a pre-orientation advising appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call (703) 993-2470."
