So to Speak

check out the So to Speak website
So to Speak addresses the facts of women’s lives, and in this way contributors reinvigorate language and form.  So to Speak is the voice of the sparks that are ignited when culture, class, sexuality, and race collide with gender.

So to Speak publishes creative writing, nonfiction, and visual art.  The work it publishes ranges from cutting-edge poems to traditional memoirs, from photography of sculptural installations to conventional short stories, and it covers a variety of perspectives.  Whatever its genre or its origin, the work in So to Speak consistently adheres to high standards of form and meaning.

So to Speak sponsors national contests.  Contest and submission guidelines are available through the links provided.
