Hey everyone,

So I know you are all getting ready to leave for spring break and ADJ Club is the last thing on your minds, but...couple important things before you head out:

1. New Listserv – As you will notice we now have an official listserv!!! Please do not reply to the listserv, instead send all emails toadjclub@gmu.edu.  You can unsubscribe from the listserv at any time by sending an email to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.GMU.EDU, stating, “SIGNOFF ADJ-CLUB-L” and you will no longer receive ADJ Club emails.

2. APS First Annual Winner's Choice Invitational Charity Softball Tournament– The softball tourney is set for Saturday, March 28th from 10am-6:30pm at the intramural turf field.  We are looking to put together a team from the ADJ Club and need between 9 and 12 players.  See the attached letter for
more information.  This is fast approaching and we need to have our team set by next Saturday, March 14.  It is $5/player with all proceeds going towards charity.  Each player will receive an event t-shirt!  If we win, we receive a trophy and get to choose which charity the money goes to. *** If you would like to play please email adjclub@gmu.edu asap, and no later than next Wednesday, March 11th.***  Please include in the email your t-shirt size and which charity you would pick.  Roster will be filled first come, first served.  No experience or skill necessary!

3. Blue Ridge Arsenal Class and Fairfax ADC Tour – Watch for an email from Wayne with more information about these two events and signing up to participate.

4. Justice Week – We will be co-sponsoring International Justice Mission’s First Annual Justice Week April 13-17th.  Please stay tuned for more information about events.

5. Elections – We will be holding elections at our next meeting for the positions of Secretary and Treasurer for next year.  ***Please emailadjclub@gmu.edu before the next meeting if you are interested in either position.***  Be prepared to attend the March meeting and give a brief speech about why you would like the position and/or any qualifications you might have.  Feel free to ask us any questions you have about either position.  Leadership looks great on your resume!

6. Next Meeting – Monday, March 23rd, 7:30pm, SUB II, room 7.

Minutes from the last meeting are also attached.

Hey Everyone,

The next ADJ Club meeting is this Tuesday, February 17th at 7:30pm in SUB II, VIP 1.

Remember, all new membership dues and applications are due at this meeting.  Please see http://gmu.edu/org/adjclub/join for more details.

Also, please email us before the meeting as to if you are interested in attending the National Conference and/or Blue Ridge Arsenal event.  More details are in the minutes from the last meeting that are attached.

Reminder: The first ADJ Club Meeting of the semester is tonight at 7:30pm in SUB II, VIP 2.

This first meeting of the semester will cover several different things & will help to set the agenda for the rest of the semester.

For any ADJ majors/minors that are not members but want to join - we'll be accepting applications for new members! National Organization dues are $36 and Chapter dues are $20 and applications/fees are due by our second club meeting (2/17/09).  Please see gmu.edu/org/adjclub/join for applications.

If you did not pick up your chapter membership certificates or new club shirt at the end of last semester, we will have them available on Monday.

We will also be holding elections on Monday for a new Public Relations Officer.  Those of you interested in this position should come prepared with a brief speech as to why you are the one for the job.  Please email adjclub@gmu.edu to be put on the ballot.

Finally, we are looking for an ADJ-student that is interested in web design to help work on the Club website. Previous web-design experience with programs like Dreamweaver and/or experience with the Mason web client is helpful...but not 100% necessary. Any interested (and capable) ADJ students are encouraged to inquire as to the possibility of joining the ADJ Club officers. Remember - positions of responsibility LOOK GREAT ON THE RESUME!

Greetings ADJ'ers,

Sorry for the confusion regarding our earlier email - but we were having problems getting our meeting room assigned. So, our meeting will be: Monday, February the 2nd at 7:30pm in SUB II, VIP Room 2.

snow! To help us get the (snow)ball rolling - we've got our first ADJ Club meeting set
