History of Omicron Rho

In the early 1980s a group named Ladies Interested in Delta was formed on the campus of George Mason University . Out of the interest group Seven Dynamic women were chosen to be on the Charter Line and were given the name “Seven Steps from the Ground Up.” Chartered on April 16, 1983 , the Omicron Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was the first Black Greek Lettered organization on the campus of George Mason University . The name “Seven Steps from the Ground Up” was chosen to symbolize the efforts and determination of those women who laid the foundation for the Chapter by answering the “Call to Delta”
