Chapter Programs

Omicron Rho has maintained its efforts in providing service programs that focus on the Sorority's Five Point Thrust. The Following are some of the current programs of the Chapter:

* Sisterhood Week: A week-long event during the fall semester wherein the chapter sponsors a variety of programs and events designed to strengthen sisterhood and educate the public on the contributions and history of influential women.

* Workout Days with the Deltas: A bi-weekly program designed to promote good health through physical and mental exercise.

* Study Hall: A bi-weekly program designed to promote educational development among the George Mason University Community.

* Mr. Delta Pageant: A showcase of the talent of 5-10 young men as well as their academic and community achievements. The winner is given the title of “Mr.Delta” and all proceeds for the pageant are used as scholarship money to a rising freshman.

* Delta Week: A weeklong event during the spring semester to celebrate the anniversary of the Chapter as well as confront issues within the community. A variety of programs are held throughout the week, which highlights the 5 point programmatic thrust.

* International Day of Service: A day in which all Deltas come together in order to service the community through various programs focusing on areas such as Aids Awareness and Economic Empowerment.

* Health Fair: An annual program that takes place every October on the campus of George Mason University that focuses on Aids Awareness in conjunction with the Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter and the Northern Virginia Aids Ministry. Activities include stepping, skits, games, and notable speakers.
