We have some fun special events planned this semester! ******************** FEBRUARY: We are going ice skating at the National Gallery of Art on Saturday, Feb 24! Meet at the CUE bus stop at 10:30am. We will skate from 12:00pm-2:00pm, then eat at a local café. You can also visit the National Gallery of Art if you want. We will leave on the 3:55pm metro, and arrive back at GMU at about 5pm. Ice skating is $9 for students and $10 for non-students. This includes skate rentals. Bring your GMU ID if you are a student. Also bring $4.75 for the metro, and some money for food. Don’t forget your coat, gloves and scarf! MARCH: IFC will be participating in a Spring Break service project from March 10-17. We will go to New Orleans to help clean houses that were damaged by Hurricane Katrina. IFC did this service project last year and it was an excellent experience. Click on "Click to Download the New Orleans Slideshow" on the left page to view a slideshow of our trip last year. We will be staying at the Hilton New Orleans hotel. The cost is $215 for the hotel, plus $180 for the bus ride, plus money for food for the week. So the total cost is about $485. Scholarships may be available. For complete information, go to www.katrinaspringbreak.com. If you are interested in participating in this spring break project, email us at friends@gmu.edu. * The registration deadline is Feb 25. * APRIL: April 5, we will go to an Easter Pageant. If you are interested in finding out what Easter is really about, you will find this play interesting. April 14, we will go to Washington, DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival. MAY: May 5, IFC will have its End Of The Year Party!
