  • Decide how long you will attend. Events are Wed 3/14 through Sun 3/18

  • Review the preliminary schedule to help decide which events you want to make sure and attend. http://www.naea-reston.org/pdf/ConvNews-W.pdf

  • If you are not staying the entire time you need to find people to room with that will be staying for the same duration as you are.

  • Register for the conference online - Student Registration is $55: http://www.naea-reston.org/convention.html
NOTE: Deadline to preregister is Feb 2nd - after this date you must register on site and the cost goes up to $75.

  • If you have been accepted into the MAT program and have Graduate status you are eligible to apply for the Graduate Student Travel Fund (GSTF). You must follow the directions for applying here: http://www.gmu.edu/org/gstf/ your completed packet must be turned in by February 23, 2007. It will be reviewed and you will be sent an email of how much you will be awarded.

  • If you are not eligible for the GSTF and are a paid member of the Student Chapter there will be limited funding through Student Organizations. You must fill out and return the Request and Authorization to Travel form: http://fiscal.gmu.edu/forms/Travel%20Forms/TravelAuthorization.pdf and the Risk Assessment and Release form: http://www.gmu.edu/org/gstf/pdfs/risk.pdf

  • Upon returning you must submit all your receipts to get reimbursed. The amount depends on how much the Student Chapter is awarded from the Student Funding Board and we will not know that until January 19th.

  • The suggested mode of travel is by bus. If you choose a different mode you will not be reimbursed for anything above the amount of the bus fare. Greyhound offers a special fare of $35 roundtrip. Purchase tickets here: http://www.greyhound.com/scripts/en/TicketCenter/esavers.asp
