The George Mason University Student Nurses' Association (SNA) fully supports the Virginia Nursing Student Association (VNSA) and the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA). Involvement in SNA prepares students for involvement in professional associations upon graduation.

Our mission is to organize, represent and mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those nurses enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs; to promote development of skills needed to be responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession; to promote community service through organized activities; and to advocate high quality health care.

Our Goals

1) Give nursing students the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other nursing students locally, at the state level, and from around the country

2) Increase nursing students' awareness of issues confronting the nursing profession today

3) Provide information about the changing political and career trends in nursing

4) Give nursing students the opportunity to volunteer within their community and promote nursing as a profession.
