Graduate Assistant Position in Sports Information (posted 6/4/02)
Job Description: Lynchburg College in Virginia is accepting applications for a graduate assistant in Sports Information. This nine-month, 20 hour per week position runs from August 13, 2001 to May 30, 2002. The successful candidate will report directly to the Sports Information Director and will assist in the promotion of the intercollegiate athletic program. General job duties will include, but are not limited to, design and promotion of all publications, including media guides, brochures, news releases, newsletters, statistics, home game coverage, and daily web page updates.
Compensation: The compensation and benefits package includes tuition waiver and a monthly stipend.
Lynchburg College is a private co-educational liberal arts college located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. Lynchburg College is Division III and is a charter member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Sports Information with evidence of good writing, computer, desktop publishing skills, and web page design. Applicants must be accepted for graduate study at Lynchburg College. All candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with all members of the College community.
