
2003 VaSID All-State University Division Women's Field Hockey Team Loy, who led the Monarchs to an eighth consecutive CAA title and 23rd consecutive bid to the national tournament, earned first-team All-American honors from both the NFHCA and womensfieldhockey.com for the second consecutive season. Loy, the CAA Player of the Year and CAA Tournament MVP, ranked second nationally with 69 points, 2.875 points per game, and 21 assists. Loy was also a member of the VaSID All-State field hockey team in 2002. Bradley led the Spiders to an 18-5 record and a second consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship title. Richmond also earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, one year after earning an automatic bid to the tournament following a victory in the play-in game. The Spiders ended their season ranked fourth in scoring defense (1.19 GAPG), 18th in scoring offense (2.67 GAPG), and fifth nationally in winning percentage. |
