George Mason University is easily accessible by plane, car, train and bus. Our closest airports are Dulles International and Reagan Washington National, and we are easily accessible by public transportation.
Mason also offers a variety of transportation alternatives to those who don't have a car or don't want to drive to campus.
Free shuttle buses help you get to the nearest Metro station in Vienna, Virginia, (for our Fairfax Campus) or one of our other campuses.
The City of Fairfax CUE bus also provides service between Vienna Metro and the Fairfax Campus.
Our Arlington Campus is within walking distance of the Virginia Square-GMU stop on the Orange Line.
Park It Here
We don’t want you driving in circles. Every campus provides ample visitor parking for a modest fee.
Get a Room
Staying overnight? We can provide a list of hotels close to the Fairfax Campus. Some offer special rates for prospective students, Mason families, and visitors to the university, so be sure to ask when making a reservation or checking in. These hotels provide us with a small percentage of the proceeds from reservations made here, which we use to support our programs.
