Julia Fellows

Admissions Counselor

Hello! My name is Julia Fellows and I am an Admissions Counselor here at George Mason University. While applying to universities, I found my interactions with admissions counselors to be quite formative in the application process. As a result of those memorable interactions, I began working in my alma mater’s Admissions Office following my first year of undergraduate. My three years of work in Admissions affirmed my love of engaging with prospective students and speaking on behalf of an institution. Upon graduating, these experiences propelled me to apply and join the staff of George Mason Admissions!

As a native of Northern Virginia, I have known George Mason to be consistently revered as redefining excellence and recognizing each students’ unique strengths. Located for opportunity, George Mason’s proximity to Washington D.C. provides its students with ample professional development, research and service opportunities. Committed to accessibly and inclusivity, George Mason seeks to welcome all students. I am proud to represent a university that tangibly values its students.

In addition to working in the Admissions Office, I graduated with honors from Elon University, obtaining a Public Health degree. Additionally, I have interned for various organizations in the greater D.C. area such as The International Justice Mission and United Way Worldwide, as well as working in Elon’s Writing Center.

I realize applying to schools can be overwhelming, but I am eager to support you in this process! Please reach out me if you have any questions. I look forward to welcoming you to George Mason! Go Patriots!
