Please indicate your intention to attend by clicking here to register. There is general information available at http://www2.gmu.edu/graduation/ for all potential participants. Please check this site for any questions including which ceremony to attend.
However, there are a few details that are specific to doctoral candidates as outlined here:
HOODING INFORMATION: Doctoral candidates will have their degrees conferred individually by the President and are hooded by your major faculty advisor, or the University Marshal, during the ceremony. Please invite your major professor to join you for graduation day activities. In keeping with University tradition, doctoral candidates join the faculty on Graduation day for a light breakfast or luncheon, (depending on your ceremony,) and robing promptly 90 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Please meet with the faculty and marshals on the EagleBank Arena Concourse Level, East Side. Members of the University Events staff will be available to assist you with robing. Faculty marshals will direct you to the assembly area for the academic procession, which will begin near the loading dock area, lower level, East side. If you are not able to attend the breakfast / luncheon, meet at the loading dock area one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
TICKETS are not required for your guests. Seating will be general admission. EagleBank Arena doors open one hour prior to the ceremony. Guests are advised to arrive at this time. Overflow viewing will be available at the Concert Hall on Mason Pond Drive if the arena reaches capacity. All parking lots are open for graduates and their guests. You will be able to request one special parking pass for Lot L near the arena.
