Summer Dining Options

This summer, limited dining options will be available on the Fairfax Campus. See the current options and hours of operation.

Looking for more choices? Check out the list of Mason Merchants, which are local businesses that accept Mason Money for purchases.

At the SciTech Campus, Mum Mum Thai and The Spice Route are open in Beacon Hall. Randall's Café is currently closed.

Off-campus dining options are available near the Arlington Campus. Au Bon Pain remains closed for summer.

Transportation Options to Campus

Faculty and staff can take advantage of several transportation options to safely travel to campus with ease and flexibility. Whether working at the Fairfax, Arlington, or SciTech campuses, ridesharing is a commuting option to consider.

Mason offers various car/vanpool programs, which include complimentary parking for vanpools and rebates for carpools (conditions apply).

Vanpool participants can also utilize Mason’s Commuter Choice subsidy, which provides up to $270/month for vanpool costs.

MasonLive Student Email Migrating to Office 365

This June, MasonLive student email and Microsoft services will migrate to Office 365. This migration will improve collaboration, enhance user experience across campus, and provide additional resources to students.

Join the Staff Senate

Becoming a Staff Senator is a great way to get involved with the university community and have an impact on your workplace. The senate provides many opportunities to learn about how the university works and collaborate with administrators and staff members outside your unit.

The senate accepts nominations each June, and elections are held in July. Terms begin in August and last for two years.

2021 Staff Senate Election Important Dates:
Nomination Period: June 14–25
Election Period: July 12–23

Innovations in Teaching & Learning Conference Proposals for On-Demand Collection Due May 31

Mason’s 13th annual Innovations in Teaching & Learning Conference will take place September 20–24. The deadline to submit pandemic teaching experiences and insights for the On-Demand Collection (teaching artifacts with reflections or annotations, short videos, digital posters) is Monday, May 31.

Mason Kids Club Summer Camp

Mason Kids Club Summer Camp is a school-age, full summer program for rising first through fourth graders. Students may register for particular weeks or for the full summer (June 14 to August 20).

Each year, a new and exciting theme guides the interactive summer activities. The theme for summer 2021 is "STEAM, Exploration, Friends, and Fun."

Working Moms Support Group Summer Meeting Schedule

The Support Group for Working Mothers is one way Mason faculty, staff, and students can come together, discuss the issues confronting working mothers, and perhaps motivate changes on campus. The group will continue to meet virtually over the summer.   

Meetings will be held at 2 p.m. via Zoom on June 1, July 14 and Aug. 5.
