Celebrating Mason’s graduates

Body

George Mason University looks forward to celebrating our graduates the week of May 10-15. Many exciting events are taking place during the week, including the virtual 54th Spring Commencement ceremony livestreaming on GMU-TV at 2 p.m. May 14 with featured speaker First Lady Dr. Jill Biden. Mini ceremonies and the Patriot Procession will allow graduates to celebrate with their friends and family members. The full schedule of virtual and in-person events, including streaming links, can be found at www2.gmu.edu/graduation.

All events will take place rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, events may be delayed or cancelled. In either of those circumstances, registered participants will be notified by email, and updates will be available on the Graduation website. You can also follow GeorgeMasonU on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for weather updates.

We have a full schedule of events and will not be able to offer make up dates for events cancelled because of severe weather. If your graduation event is cancelled because severe weather, we will invite you to participate in the December 2021 ceremony.

We are looking forward to a joyous week of celebrating all our graduates’ achievements!
