Economics Department Hosts Community Forum with Garett Jones

The Department of Economics will host its third Economics Community Forum on Monday, April 9, featuring economics professor Garett Jones.

Jones will speak on “Three Hard Solutions to America’s Debt Problem” beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Founders Hall Auditorium on the Arlington Campus.

Jones is BB&T Professor for the Study of Capitalism at the Mercatus Center. His research interests include macroeconomics, monetary economics and the microfoundations of economic growth. Previously, he served as economic policy adviser to Sen. Orrin Hatch and as a staff economist to the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress.

The lecture is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
