Mason is...Redefining Excellence
Calling All Patriots: Mason Launches Giving Day
George Mason University celebrates a big anniversary in 2017: 45 years as an independent public university. Next year marks additional milestones, including the Golden Anniversary of the Alumni Association and our first graduating class, the Class of 1968.
These events mark an important shift in the way others see us and the way we see ourselves.
Community leaders with dreams of what Mason could become set the school on its current trajectory. Those dreams are now exceeding expectations.
Mason is a top-rated research university. We are a home to the humanities and the hard sciences, to athletics and the arts, producing alumni who have found success in a variety of fields.
We’ve come a long way, but still have room to grow. To make that happen, we’re launching Giving Day on April 6, 2017.
In the space of 24 hours, everyone who is a part of Mason Nation will be encouraged to make their mark by making a gift to the university. We’ve identified several funding projects that can benefit students, programs, faculty, staff, and facilities.
Giving Day expresses our belief in the power of broad-based support, especially from alumni. It's also a reminder that everyone who sees Mason’s promise can be a donor.
In a climate of reduced government support for higher education, it’s important to build a culture of giving back.
Learn about our funding projects, post to social media (hashtag #Give2Mason), and mark your calendars for Giving Day: April 6, 2017.
