All graduates will walk across the stage and be recognized by name at both ceremonies.
BOTH CEREMONIES ARE TICKETED EVENTS with EIGHT Tickets per Student.
Graduates should arrive in regalia 1 hour prior to the ceremony start time.
Enter EagleBank Arena through the lower-level loading dock entrance and go to the floor seating area.
Your name will not appear in the printed graduation program if you did not apply to graduate before September 30.
You must apply to graduate even if you do not plan to attend the graduation ceremony.
Students who have placed a confidential hold on their records will be excluded from the graduation program. If you have a confidential hold and wish for your name to be included in the program, the hold must have been removed by September 30.

All degree candidates should arrive 45 minutes before the start of the December 21 ceremonies at EagleBank Arena, Lower East Side, Graduates Entrance.
EagleBank Arena concourse doors open for guests an hour before each ceremony, which will last approximately two hours.
Thesis and Dissertation Deadline:

Contact the University Dissertation and Thesis Services office for guidance on completing your requirements for graduation.
Graduation at Mason is a traditional ceremony in which graduates and faculty wear caps and gowns.
Those who miss or are unable to attend the Graduation Fair can purchase regalia at any Mason bookstore on a first-come, first-served basis. The Science and Technology and Arlington Campus bookstores will also sell caps and gowns.
It is required that you wear the appropriate academic regalia.

PhD candidates must wear the approved Mason custom regalia.
Please place regalia orders by phone or in-person at the university bookstore by Friday, November 18, or incur a $25 late fee plus the $157.98 rental cost.
All PhD rental regalia will be available for pickup from the bookstore starting December 9.
Returning your rental — You must return your regalia immediately following the graduation outside the Hospitality Suite located in the lower level of the EagleBank Arena at the bookstore collection table. Candidates who do not return their regalia will be charged the purchase price of $754.
Cancellation: Refunds of rental fees are available from the bookstore to candidates who cancel their regalia rental before December 19. No refund will be given after that time.
Each graduate is permitted a maximum of eight guest tickets; each guest must have a ticket. Graduating students do not need a ticket.
Seating at the winter graduation ceremonies is limited, and guest tickets are required.
All tickets are free and general admission.
Announcements are not invitations and do not serve as tickets to the graduation ceremony.
Special assistance and handicapped seating will be available for the ceremony; please ask any EagleBank Arena usher at the portal entrances for directions when you arrive.
Guests requiring special assistance may be seated with one other guest from their party in an easy-access section of EagleBank Arena.
Please note: Graduates who did not apply to graduate by September 30 will not be guaranteed eight guest tickets, nor will their names appear in the graduation program.

Tickets that are not picked up by 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 19, will be distributed to other graduates that evening, starting at 6 p.m. at the EagleBank Arena box office, west side. If you do not need all the tickets you originally picked up, please return the extras to the box office at the times listed previously. Any remaining tickets following the final distribution on December 19 at 6 p.m. will be available on Wednesday, December 21, one hour before the graduation ceremony with no ID required.
Neither Events Management, the bookstore, nor the Office of the University Registrar has additional tickets.

Most diplomas will be mailed to the student’s “diploma address,” which is specified during the online graduation application process. Diplomas are mailed within six to eight weeks following degree conferral.
Eagle Bank Arena Security
Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as EagleBank Arena has instituted a new standard security policy for all events at the facility. Guests must consent to a search of their person and/or any items they may wish to bring into the arena, including bags. Each patron attending will be allowed to carry one personal item into the arena.
