George Mason University

For Graduates

You must apply to graduate even if you don't plan to attend the graduation ceremony.

The University Registrar’s Graduation site provides general and detailed information, as well as timelines and deadlines for all procedures.

To graduate, you must fill out an application. The online version is open through Sept. 29, 2019. You must file by this date to have your name appear in the printed graduation program.

File a late graduation application from Sept. 30, 2019, through Feb. 1, 2020.

Students who have placed a confidential hold on their records won't be listed in the graduation program. If you have a confidential hold and want your name in the program, you must remove the hold by Sept. 29, 2019.
