From the time he visited during an 8th grade school trip, Shane knew he wanted to attend college in the DC area. Despite being a long way from Texas, Mason was inviting and stayed in touch during Shane’s college search. In choosing George Mason, he found a home away from home—a place that encouraged student participation and a place where his self-confidence blossomed. We couldn’t be happier with his experience while attending George Mason. We are very proud of the student and young man he developed into as a result of his time at GMU.
