Life Safety Fair: October 26

October 22, 2017

Are you Mason Ready?

Find out at the Mason Ready Life Safety Fair on Thursday, October 26, brought to you by University Life, Environmental Health and Safety, University Police, the City of Fairfax Fire Department, and many others.

The event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Merten Hall Lawn.

This year's event will offer free food, an impaired obstacle course and bumper cars, fire extinguisher training, tornado-making kits, exciting giveaways (including free t-shirts), and more.

You especially do not want to miss the annual mock residence hall room burn at 4 p.m., where the City of Fairfax Fire Department will ignite a mock dorm room to help attendees visualize how a fire can go from a small flicker to a raging inferno in a matter of seconds. Afterward, there will be a showing of the feature film Frozen on the lawn.

Mason Ready is a public event, open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the community.
