Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution
The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution is a community of faculty, students, staff, alumni, and partners with a fundamental commitment to building peace. Through the development of cutting-edge theory, research, education, and practical work, they seek to identify and address the underlying causes of conflict and provide tools for ethical and just peacebuilding on the local, national, and global stages.
Graduates from the Conflict Analysis and Resolution program embark on a variety of exciting professional paths both domestically and internationally. Whether joining established fields or blazing their own trail creating new non-governmental organizations and consultancies in emerging sectors, Carter graduates are working every day to create a more peaceful and just global society.
From first-generation graduates to leaders in local politics to innovative researchers discovering the next great tool for cancer screening, the women of Mason prove that history is made with great and small impacts.
During Women's History Month, Mason is highlighting some of the many achievements and contributions of women who have shaped our culture, society, and community.
